I swear these two had an invisible umbrella following above them wherever they traveled. On my way to Kristina and Justin's home, the rain poured so hard that I had to pull over because I couldn't see inches in front of me. As soon as I walked into the house, Mrs. Strang met me at the door to welcome me with the biggest smile that seemed to clear the sky in seconds. It rained on our way to the first look site, then stopped when we stepped out of the car. It began to rain as soon as we finished our portraits, then the sun came back out as soon as we were ready to photograph the wedding party. There wasn't one single photograph that showed evidence of the on-again, off-again storm that pestered Rome, NY on the best day ever. This was, of course, an incredible coincidence- but maybe Kristina and Justin had a few more wedding guests than they planned for, lighting their way as they stepped.
I had been especially looking forward to this wedding since Kristina reached out inquiering about us teaming up. Speaking of team, Kristina and I played soccer together in college when she met Justin who was also a SUNYIT / SUNY POLY athlete. It was so fun to be surrounded by Kristina and Justin's friends, while many are also mine. It was also wonderful to see their families, who I remember from our sidelines.
We're so lucky to have been able to witness their story from the beginning. Through the ups and downs, life altering moments, the devastating and the exciting, they always found their way back to each other. They never gave up, and that's something that the rest of us can all look up to. Their love is inspiring and I am so lucky to have been a part of their beautiful day.
When he walked up to her, he said "I am marrying the most beautiful woman in the world."
I'm not crying, you're crying...
